The history of Konig Ludwig Dunkel goes back to the year 1516 and has a very long tradition in Bavaria in particular. Today Konig Ludwig Dunkel is the most popular dark beer in Germany. It is brewed with the best roasted barley malt and bitter and aroma hops. Spicy and malty in taste, this style is the preferred drink during the cooler seasons. Selected ingredients from southern Germany, a special brewing process, and the typical bottom fermentation make this beer very drinkable. HRH Luitpold, Prince of Bavaria pays personal attention to the high quality of this beer. Konig Ludwig Dunkel received the silver medal for the Asia Beer Award 2010 in the dark beer/dark wheat beer category.
