We sponsored the IPA category at the Niag County Fair home-brew competition in August. On Sat, October 8th, the winning home-brewer, Brian Meyer, and his "assistants" (his wife Lori, and their friend Paul Weisenburger) were at 12 Gates Brewing and helped recreate their recipe on our big system. This is an all Pale malt brew with Centennial and Columbus, and dry hopped with Amarillo, Citra, and Simcoe. It is 7.6% ABV, 100 IBU - dry hopped with Ancho chili peppers that give this big IPA a hint of sweet smokiness and a bit of heat on the back end.
