Irish Craft Beers

Irish craft beers have been popular for a while. Beer drinkers are now aware of the wide range of styles of craft beers available. One of them is Kinnegar Rustbucket. It is a hoppy red ale that has plenty of flavor and a characteristically rough rye edge. You can try it if you are looking for something unique. Another popular style is Metalman Pale Ale. It is a hoppy, delicious and an easy drinking session beer. The other style of craft beer you can try is Hilden Headless Dog. This amber ale that has a well rounded flavor. Typically, craft beer is manufactured by a small and independent brewing company. Ireland now has more than 63 microbreweries. Microbreweries started emerging in Ireland in the 1990s. Some of the breweries established during this period went out of business, but others, such as the Carlow Brewing Company are still in business. Many breweries have been recently established due to the changes in excise requirements, increased brewing education courses funded by the government and access to EU funding. Beer production in Ireland stands at over eight million hectoliters per year. About 50 percent of the alcohol consumed in the country is beer. Lager accounts for sixty percent of the beer sold, ale six percent and stout, six percent. Although craft brewing accounts for about two percent of the market, this share is growing. One of the reasons why consumers love craft beers is their enhanced taste. Craft beers are produced in small batches. The producers seek to create enticing and innovative lager products by using the best ingredients. Unlike conventional beers, which have an alcohol content of about 2 to 3 percent, craft beers also have a higher alcohol content. Their alcohol content ranges from 5 to 10 percent. Some beers have an alcohol content of 20 to 40 percent. Craft beers also have ingredients that may improve your health. Some of them include soluble fiber, B vitamins and antioxidants like Ferulic acid. The producers of Irish craft beers also create seasonal choices for their customers. New releases allow consumers to experiment with different flavors and then choose new favorites.
