To celebrate the start of our taproom journey, we want to thank to the city of Middletown and its inhabitants for being so supportive of us producing and slinging our local haze. We present a tribute in the form of our latest beer: Middletown Murk. Our murk; i.e. haze, come from hops and our evolving hopping process. This will be a mini series of beers investigating the expansion of our haze program with additions of oats, wheat, lactose, and other adjuncts in combination with our favorite hops and EQs hopping process while we work on the expansion of our Middletown taproom. This base batch has a touch of oats in it for the first time [limit: 1 joke per person. - Pete Oates] and pours a murky orange with notes of citrus zest, pineapple, and cherry with a bready support. The taste is tropical and bready with a firm hop bitterness for balance and drinkability.
