A Belgian Dark style beer aged in second use bourbon barrels. Kentucky Monk was brewed with allspice, nutmeg, oranges and tea. Incredibly complex, Kentucky Monk has spice characteristics in the aroma. Characteristics of figs, dates, marshmallow, chocolate, toffee and vanilla are layered into this beer. The Belgian yeast lends some banana and spice upon the finish to round it out.
