Beachcomber is a collaboration with our great friends Creature Comforts down in Athens, GA. Blake came up to St Louis this summer for our annual Midwest Belgian Beer Festival, and we brewed this Tiki-inspired Saison to express our mutual love for the beloved art of Tiki drinks. Brewed with Pilsner, Spelt and Vienna malts, we threw in fresh Ginger and freshly ground Allspice to the boil, and finished it off with a nice helping of Mosaic hops in the whirlpool. Fermented with our house saison strain, and Red Rio Grapefruit, we then steeped the finished beer on hibiscus flowers. Finally, we packaged conditioned Beachcomber with a favorite strain of Brettanomyces. Pairs well with Tiki-mugs, punch bowls, and bamboo bars.
