You Mistakenly Asked For It...So We Decided To Make It!
I agree, some of our beer names can be a bit unorthodox. From the very first beer festivals & promos I did in 1996 all the way to today, customers have called us all kinds of names: Shmlatz, Schmutz, HeyBro, Guinness or Genesee for Genesis, Jubilee for Jewbelation - you name it we've heard it. But the most varied calls from curious, well meaning beer peeps have come for our American IPA, HOP MANNA (already pronounced two ways - it's ancient He'brew after all). We've heard Hop Mantra, Hop Mañana, Hop Monster... But by far the two most popular mistakes are HOP MANIA and HOP MOMMA. After a few years of correcting newcomers and even some experienced fans, we figured we'd just give the people what they thought they wanted. For us, what a perfect excuse for a little mid winter IPA creative action. Fear not, we're not cheating on our beloved HOP MANNA. We're just playing around with a little malt, a whole lotta hops and some abvs for some oh so tasty fun to spice things up. So come join our 3-way IPA affair and hope you enjoy HOP MOMMA and HOP MANIA along with our most precious HOP MANNA as much as we do. To Life! L'Chaim!
