"Oktoberfest beers can come in a range of sub-styles from pale to Vienna-like. Our Oktoberfest is the original Märzen type that was originally served for Oktoberfest. This rich and flavorful beer is perfect for the late summer and fall seasons." ~ Straub Brewmaster Vince Assetta Oktoberfest Elchland pays tribute to one of the country's largest, free-roaming elk herds (Elchland is German for Elk Country), which is located in Bennezette in the heart of the PA Wilds . Annually, 250,000 to 300,000 locals and tourists from across Pennsylvania and the U.S. stop at the Elk Visitor Center and its surrounding area in the hopes of seeing the wild elk roam mere feet away in their natural habitat Oktoberfest Elchland pours a white foamy head, and has a rich, toasted-malt character that combines the aroma of dried fruit with a bready taste. The mild-hop bitterness balances the sweetness and helps to create a classic "festbier" experience. Because of its popularity, Oktoberfest Elchland will also be offered solo in 4/6-packs, 2/12-packs, and draft as a seasonal craft beer by Straub Brewery, from late August through October.
