Hibu was born in 2007 from the passion of the brewmaster Raimondo Cetani: the H stands for "home brewer", while ibu is the international unit of measure of bitterness. The story, however, is not as short as it appears. In 2003, Raimondo buys the first plant from a restaurateur, and involves three friends; four years later, Hibu becomes a real brand. In 2015 Hibu moved to Burago di Molgora (Mb), the current headquarters of the micro brewery and Raimondo decided to devote himself full time to the world of beer. It is still unclear whether it was the characters on the label who suggested the recipes of the numerous varieties of beer or whether they are the reflection of many brewing styles reinterpreted in a light-hearted and fun way by Raimondo. What we do know is that a little madness was inevitable, probably necessary to create many beers accessible to all and at the same time original able to amaze even the most refined palates. Success will tell if madness is genius ... After all, tomorrow is still to be written.
