In 1982, brewery Keersmaekers from Oud-Turnhout (now moved to Turnhout)-fermented beers under the name Corsendonk on the market. This happened at the request of and with the support of the Old-Tourist Turnhout. These beers are not brewed in Oud-Turnhout, but include the Brasserie Du Bocq in Purnode, part of Yvoir. In 2004 the total volume for Corsendonk brewing 20,000 hectoliters. In October 2004, the seasonal beer Corsendonk Christmas Ale by the U.S. Celebrator Beer News named best Christmas beer. The beer tasters tasted a total of eighteen different Christmas beers from all over the world.
