When did all these pretentious people take over something as simple and awesome as beer drinking? Headlands Brewing is taking craft beer back for the regular people who just love getting out and about and enjoying a great beer (or two).
Headlands was created by two guys from the Bay Area who decided to embark on an adventure combine their passion for brewing and drinking great beer with their love of land and sea. We make ales and lagers that embody the spirit of our home. If you don't find us in the brewery or at a local event you'll likely meet us running the trails in Marin, swimming around the Pt Bonita lighthouse, or just hanging out and drinking a beer (one of ours or one from another great local brewery - we consider ourselves very spoiled).
Our beer is available on tap or in 16 ounce (aka a proper pint pour) cans. We believe if you love great beer, you deserve a proper pour. And cans are so much better than bottles - more portable, better for the environment and way better for the beer (that stale or skunky flavor you get with so many bottles shouldn't be there - it's just light getting through the glass and beating on those delicate hops that brewers take so much care getting into the beer in the first place).
We believe beer is social. It lubricates ideas. Starts adventures. Toasts the perfect moment. It's fun. Also, we named ourselves after the Headlands, for Pete's sake, so we care about our environment and actively protect it through non-profit work, trail maintenance and restoration, and advocacy. That's about it. Hope you like our beer because we believe in our local brewing community and we're honored to be a part of it. Cheers.
