Wieninger is a private brewery closely linked to the territory with which it interacts. This independent family company aims to respect and safeguard tradition, placing values ​​such as continuity, openness, mutual trust in local players and entrepreneurial spirit at the center of its business. The brewery, located in Teisendorf in the Berchtesgaden region, was born as a brewery of the archbishop's curia in the year 1666. In 1813 Philip Wieninger bought the factory: since then it has been managed continuously by the members of the Wieninger family, who have now reached the seventh generation. Today it is the region's flagship brewery with a solid economic foundation. The processing of the beers takes place according to the artisan tradition and according to natural production methods. Decisive is the secret, handed down from generation to generation by the brewery's master brewers, regarding the recipe and manufacturing process of this noble barley nectar. The factory, which is a party to the Bavarian Environmental Pact, has been awarded the Bavarian medal for the environment and is a repeatedly awarded model of responsible and environmentally friendly operation. With the motto "making natural products with environmentally friendly methods", the Wieninger brewery has become one of the entrepreneurial champions of environmental protection: pre-treatment of waste water, recycling of CO2, collection of recyclable materials on site are just some of the aspects. that make this modern Bavarian brewery unique.
