Founded in 1664, Brasseries Kronenbourg is one of the oldest French companies. Created June 9, 1664 in Strasbourg by Jerome Hatt Brewmaster Alsace, in 2014 it will celebrate its 350th anniversary. Brasseries Kronenbourg is the passion and talents of 1,210 employees gathered around the Master Brewers (only experts who have scientific and technical knowledge to make the best use needed for brewing ingredients). Our brewery is located in Obernai in Bas-Rhin near Strasbourg, is the largest in France and one of the largest in Europe. It provides the entire annual output of the company. A beer consumed every three years in France is brewed Obernai. Established for over 40 years, it extends over 70 hectares. With a production capacity of 7.5 million hectoliters, it produces each year 300 different references to beer.
