The Reichenbrand brewery has been owned by the Bergt family since 1874. "Class instead of mass!" was the motto from the beginning, and this traditional "craft beer" attitude remains firmly in place to this day. Fifth-generation Master Brewer Michael Bergt fashions our "Original Ritterguts Gose" according to the traditional recipe and brewing process.
As gose sales have steadily grown over the past few years - both in the domestic market and especially in the export sector - our main concern is to maintain an excellent and stable quality even while increasing sales volume. This is possible at Reichenbrand, which allocates three large fermented tanks exclusively for Ritterguts. This affords our very unique, sour specialty the right amount of time to properly mature in the cold cellars of the brewery before bottling and kegging - the evidence is in the taste. Goseanna!
