Wild Card Brewing Company was started in late 2015 in Trenton, Ontario by two beer nerds who happened to be brothers. Driven by inspiration from each coast of the US, but while staying true to their Canadian roots, Zack and Nate Card experienced steady sales growth early on and moved only 4 months after opening to a larger building. Gotha Street, WCBC's current home, would prove to be a good fit. Community and regional support has been tremendous since (re)opening on Friday, June 24th, 2016. Though not a traditional "destination" brewery, as there is no kitchen on site and limited seating, the tap room and bottle shop has an eclectic, experimental vibe that exudes the brand in every corner. While having a stable of regularly produced core beers, the real drive of Wild Card is to experiment and bring new flavours and styles can appeal to all of the alcohol drinking market. As a super small batch brewery in rural Ontario, Wild Card has positioned itself in the local market as having a 'restless' beer soul that refuses to focus on particular geography or historical time period. The only constant across all beer releases is quality. Wild Card will always have an eclectic mix of beers: Double NEIPA's and blonde ales, imperial pastry stouts and red Canadian lagered ales, milkshake American IPA's and Belgian Quads; it's in their DNA.
