Happy World Pizza Day!
Cultural events

Speaking of craft beer and the carnival it is only right to talk about the Italian carnival.
The origins of this pagan celebration date back to ancient times, we can remember the Latin nobles who during their banquets disguised themselves with the plebeians with costumes that were then masks.
During this period it was permissible to have fun, drink and celebrate without restraint, play games and jokes. Being masked, therefore unrecognizable, during banquets, full of good craft beer, ensured that social differences disappeared and that the rich and the poor were confused.
It's a bit like what happens even in the most modern era, one of the traditional Italian masks is Pulcinella.
Today in the entire world we celebrate World Pizza day! And... can be a pizza come without a good craft beer? Of course, nope!
So, here we are, we want share with you our ideas about craft beers and pizza... but first, today, we want to tell you the story about Pulcinella...
Who is Pulcinella? Pulcinella is a traditional italian carnival character, he is usually represented near a pizza. Why?!?
Pulcinella is the most famous neapolitan mask, despite having ancient origins it is part of the daily life of every neapolitan, along with pizza, Pulcinella is the soul and history of Naples, but what does it represent? Let's find out!
Pulcinella is the symbol of the “ordinary man” who tries to face all his problems with a smile. He is always in contradiction with himself, making fun of himself and being clever. In fact, it is difficult for him to shut is mouth: that's why there is an italian expression "The secret of Pulcinella", to indicate a fact of which everyone knows.
What could be simpler than a good pizza and a good craft beer? Nothing...this is a realy delicious matching! But what for an italian seems to be a must at the table for many others is a strange and risky combination and they often prefer wine to craft beer! .. … … B.. But.. We personally don’t agree with this, but.. Statistics at the hand..
The neapolitan pizza was born around 1700 as a popular and beloved dish that make the rules for the traditions. What happens in the rest of the world?
There are many persons who prefer frozen pizza, other who prefer franchising, much more who make strange combinations with pizza and the unicorns who eat pizza with pineapple on top!!
What do you think about that?
